Job Description
The Warehouse Kitter is responsible for gathering, organizing, and packaging individual parts, materials, or products into complete kits according to specific work orders or pick lists. This role plays a vital part in ensuring production lines have the required assembly components and customers receive accurately bundled orders on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick & Gather: Read pick sheets, digital scanners, or work orders to accurately pull materials, parts, or products from warehouse inventory.
- Kit Assembly: Unpack, count, sort, and assemble individual items into specific kits or bundles according to standardized instructions.
- Quality & Accuracy: Inspect items for defects, damage, or correct part numbers before packing. Ensure kit counts match work order specifications exactly.
- Packaging & Labeling: Properly package finished kits in designated bags, boxes, or containers, and apply accurate labels, barcodes, and documentation.
- Inventory Control: Maintain precise inventory records by using Handheld RF Scanners or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to log completed kits and update stock levels.
- Replenishment: Monitor stock levels in the kitting area and request material replenishment to ensure continuous workflow.
- Workspace Maintenance: Keep the kitting station, aisles, and work areas clean, orderly, and compliant with warehouse safety rules.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with warehouse supervisors, inventory teams, and assembly staff to resolve discrepancies or stock shortages.
