DIRECTOR OF HOUSEKEEPING

Luxury Resort • Caribbean • USD $4,500 - $5,000 gross per month + Service Charge

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Director of Housekeeping for a luxury resort in the Caribbean. This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing all housekeeping operations across guest rooms, villas, public areas, and laundry, ensuring consistently exceptional standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Lead and manage all Housekeeping operations to the highest luxury standards across rooms, villas, and public areas
Develop, inspire, and manage a large housekeeping team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and attention to detail
Oversee scheduling, staffing, training, and performance management across the department
Manage departmental budgets, linen and amenity inventory, and cost controls
Conduct regular quality inspections and implement corrective actions to maintain and elevate standards
Collaborate with Front Office, Engineering, and other departments to ensure seamless guest arrivals and room readiness
Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards across all areas
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across housekeeping processes and service delivery

WHAT YOU BRING

Proven experience as a Director of Housekeeping or Executive Housekeeper within a luxury hotel or resort
Caribbean experience is preferred
Remote island or resort experience is a strong advantage
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, develop, and motivate a diverse team
Meticulous attention to detail with an unwavering commitment to luxury standards
Solid understanding of housekeeping operations, linen management, and budget control
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Flexible and adaptable approach to working in a dynamic resort environment
